Another Page to My Life Chapter....
It’s really amazing on how a small change in decision can have a dramatic impact on the outcome of an event. Supposedly to go for the NBS movie marathon tonight but didn’t go for the movie screening because of the little decision that I made to go to Yunan Garden instead [& glad that I made the choice too =) ]…It all began with the sms sent by Ling during AA102 tutorial. Ling was looking for company for dinner cos her good frens all “fly her aeroplane”, haha… So in the midst of my presentation (Yes… was having my tutorial presentation…), discreetly msg Da Ren to see whether if he’s still in school. Luckily the sms was sent out on time as he was already at bus stop and he gamely agreed to join us for dinner despite having to wait 1hr for our tutorial to finish.
Went to look for Da Ren at IT Lab after tutorial and was discussing with him about Maple Story while waiting for Ling. Never tried online gaming before and was getting more and more interested in trying Maple after chatting with Da Ren. Maybe will d/l the game after I fixed my laptop cos it is giving me problem…
Ling came and we went over to Canteen A for dinner. Chatted a lot of things like career, what PE to choose, love relationship, etc (exchanged quite a number of opinions). In the midst of chatting, realized that the mid autumn festival celebration was today, so we decided to go to Yunan Garden to take a look. Had fun along the way to Yunan Garden; listen to another favourite songs from our handphones (surprised that all of us like Zhang Jing Xuan’s Duan Dian [张敬轩 - 断点] as he is relatively not so well known in SG) and *someone* was also having fun bullying people along the way too (messing people’s hair is her specialty… did I say her? Ops… :p), haha… Since it was on the way, brought them to my favourite spot in NTU to see the picturesque scenery of Boon Lay. I like this spot a lot, especially during windy day cos the paranomic view has a calming and relaxing effect on me. This was the first time that I’m viewing the scenery at night so it was a totally different experience from viewing it during day time. As the atmosphere was soothing, 3 of us had a little mini karaoke session and was belting out our favourite songs before heading down to Yunan Garden.
When we reached Yunan Garden, it was already packed with people. Went to get a pink lantern for Ling and strolled around to check out the stalls. Stopped at a lantern making stall and Da Ren decided to make an unique float lantern. He is really a 达人 (meaning expert in Jap) cos he could made the lantern very fast and the design was very special; instead of the normal plain design, his was a star shaped lantern. Apart from making a float lantern, he also made a star pedant-cum-tiara and a pair of star earrings for Ling. Really admire his talents and creativity. Written down our wishes on the float lantern and went over to Nanyang Lake to set it afloat. Was a bit 依依不舍 after all the hard work done by Da Ren but life as it is, one must know when to let go of things…When we were setting the lantern to sail, a little boy nearby also helped us to ripple the lantern away… Bon voyage… Hope this will signify that our future is as smooth sailing too… (",)
Really had tons of fun and laughter tonight and I really enjoyed myself a lot… it had really been a long time since I had such fun… really adds colours and spices to the pages of my life chapter in NTU… Compared to last year whereby I went alone, this year was totally a great contrast… Wish that we can do it again next year for the last time before we graduate… Wat say u guys? ^_^
